We spent Memorial Day on the lake this year. It was good times. I had to pee once we started going on the boat. So, I pee’d in the lake. Candy was good enough to provide at least some privacy. True love folks, true love.
We had the pleasure of hanging out with Joaquin Phoenix all day as well! Actually, its our buddy Jeremy doing his best Joaquin impression, and no, he didnt rap.

Both Candy and I have been super busy.
Adoption - we have submitted our dossier to Ethiopia back in March. What do we do now? We wait for a referral. And we save. We can’t wait to see our child.
Work - Chad (me…) has released two records so far under P is for Panda. Damion Suomi was the first one, and next up we had Andy Shauf. He’s Canadian. And right now he is Paste VIP artist discovery download of the month. Next up we have Gasoline Heart (which proceeds from the record go to the Layla House….) and then Mike Dunn shortly after that. And we might sign a couple more bands - we shall see. Busy busy. I also (with Candys help of course, completed a 5000 button order for Greenpeace. Yeah, 5000.
Candy has bigger news then 5000 buttons. She recently accepted a new job as the Marketing/Communications Co-ordinator for 410Bridge. 410bridge is a non profit here in GA that does great work in Kenya. I am sure we will find out MUCH more as she starts in a couple weeks and we couldnt be more happy about that.
My parents are coming into town on monday for a few weeks, and then back to seattle. Candy and I be making the rounds for wedding season as our bestest friend/old roomate, Scott is gettng married to Megan in Oklahoma and then the next weekend my sister is getting married in Seattle and then it looks like I might drive to LA for a week and then drive back to GA. Driving because we might be storing my parents car here for the net couple years while they go back to Papua New Guinea. It would work out great for us since my truck lease is up in 11 months.
anyways, that is, in short, what is going on with us. Maybe I’ll start posting more, maybe I won’t.
My buddy Brian recently gifted me with a (broken) Holga camera. I have wanted to own this piece of plastic for awhile now and was stoked. And here are shots from the first roll. This is obviously Candy been tough. I love this girl. Ps. We aren’t dead, just busy.
Every time we drive to Micah and Chrissys house (Candys twin sister) we drive under this tree. I am fascinated by the tree for some reason.

Our good friend (Brian Manley - He and his wife Leah moved across the country with us to ATL and we lived with them for a year) created the artwork for the new Manchester Orchestra. They played last night on Letterman. Dave held up the record with the artwork that Brian created. I bet he danced around the living room yelling “YES YES YES!!!” when this happened. I would have. Just saying.
This is my friend Matt. He and I just got the Damion Suomi record on vinyl and it looks killer. We both agree that the CD is dead.
